Biography
Johana Carolina Luke, married to Doctor Thomas Luke in October of 2024. Since their marriage, Dr. Thomas Luke and Mrs. Johana Carolina Luke have combined their knowledge and spiritual gifts to serve Jesus as missionaries in Bali, Indonesia. Mrs. Luke also serves Jesus as an ordained deaconess at GPI Papua Bukit Zaitun Jayapura.
Johana received her bachelor’s degree in education from Cenderawasih University, Papua, Indonesia, focusing on English as a second language. She was also awarded a Chevening Scholarship and, in 2002, she pursued a master of arts degree in Culture and Communication at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, United Kingdom.
Mrs. Luke is currently working in Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia as the head of Tourism Promotion Section in the Marketing and Tourism Infrastructure Division of the Jayapura City Tourism Office. Her main responsibilities include managing and coordinating activities related to Jayapura Tourism Promotion, both inside and outside the province, and collecting data for tourism development purposes. She has been working as a government officer in Papua for 14 years and, in August 2024, was awarded a Satya Lencana Karya Satya Badge from the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
